DESCRIPTION

ACCELCON STANDARD is a chloride-based, multi-purpose concrete admixture designed to accelerate the normal setting time of concrete. ACCELCON STANDARD improves plastic and hardening properties such as workability, compressive and flexural strengths, and resistance to freeze-thaw cycles. ACCELCON STANDARD densifies the concrete and reduces its permeability. ACCELCON STANDARD is compatible with water-reducing and air-entraining agents, but must be added separately to the concrete mix.

MAIN APPLICATIONS

  • Concrete blocks.
  • concrete pipes
  • Ornamental tiles.
  • Lintels.
  • Funeral vaults.

FEATURES/BENEFITS

  • Reduces the initial setting time.
  • Provides high strength at early ages for rapid stripping.
  • Reduce construction costs.
  • No more delays due to cold temperatures.
  • Densify the concrete.
  • Minimizes bleeding and segregation.

SPECIFICATIONS/STANDARDS

ASTM C-494 Type E*

CONTAINER

ACCELCON STANDARD is offered in 55 gallon tanks and 5 gallon pails.

DOSAGE

ACCELCON ST will dose 4-20 oz./100lb (250-1250 ml/100kg) of cement, depending on the desired result.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Add ACCELCON STANDARD to water and aggregates to the ready mix pot, but do not pour it on dry cement. When adding on the job, premix the concrete load for at least 20 revolutions at the recommended mixing speed, then add ACCELCON STANDARD. Continue mixing to achieve a total of 70 to 100 revolutions per MSHTO M-157. Concrete must be poured from the pot within one (1) hour.
