DESCRIPTION
EXPANDABLE WATERPROOF MATERIAL FOR COLD JOINTS
The use of SUPERSTOP in concrete cold joints prevents corrosion of reinforcing steel. The SUPERSTOP joint is strong, easy to install and eliminates the need for complicated laps and forms in the field. SUPERSTOP expands to create a pressure seal in concrete joints and will not deteriorate or dislodge. The joint has been tested in trials with up to 30m height of water without failure.

Installation Instructions
- The surfaces where the SUPERSTOP joint is going to be installed must have a smooth finish with floats or the finish given by a formwork. Remove all debris and sweep the surface prior to installation. On vertical joints, Para Primer (an adhesive) should be applied to the clean surface.
- Remove paper exposing adhesive. When one roll of SUPERSTOP is finished, simply place the next one after it. Fasten with nails approximately every 12” (30cm).
MAIN APPLICATIONS
The use of SUPERSTOP is suitable for most precast and cast-in-place concrete. The Superstop joint must be confined on all four sides.

PRECAUTIONS/LIMITATIONS
The use of SUPERSTOP is limited to cases where the water is not contaminated. In cases where the water is salty or contaminated with organic matter, contact the Technical Department of SPC, SA for recommendations.
Superstop joints must be used in confined areas of concrete for a minimum of 1” at ½” joints and 2” at ¾” joints.
Any portion of the joint that has been exposed to moisture and has expanded should be given time to dry prior to placement.
Proper installation should include bonding the joint to clean, dry concrete treated with Para primer and/or nails placed every 12” (30cms) to prevent any displacement during concrete placement.

Because application methods and field conditions are beyond your control and may alter product performance. Tremco makes no express or implied warranties regarding the use of its products in specific projects. Tremco's sole responsibility shall be to replace or refund the amount paid for the amount of material found to be defective.
